The first thing you need to know about the Mediafour-developed application XPlay is what it is and what it can do for you. With that in mind, I will try to provide you with a brief and to the point explanation so that you can better understand what to expect from XPlay.

Here goes: XPlay is a handy tool that allows you to copy music and photos off your iPod or iPhone to your Windows-powered computer. If you want to copy music from your iPod to your PC, you can easily do that – it is as simple as dragging and dropping the music you want to move. If you want to copy photos of your iPhone, you can easily do that to.

If you have a Mac-formatted iPod that is usually inaccessible from your PC, you can use XPlay to access the iPod and copy music off it. And last but not least, you can use XPlay to play music in Windows Media Player.

To get an even better idea of the sort of functionality you can expect to get from XPlay, here are its main features:
- Nice, familiar-looking interface.
- Access and copy music and photos off a Windows or Mac-formatted iPod or off an iPhone.
- Plug two iPods to your PC and transfer music from one iPod to the other.
- Integrates with Windows Media Player, which means you can listen to and manage your music with Windows Media Player, giving you an alternative to using iTunes. Please note that Windows Media Player 11 is required.

Before you go get XPlay and give it a try, take a look at the technical details presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at 14.5MB. On a high-speed internet connection, it should not take long for the download to complete.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, XPlay provides support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 (32-bit as well as 64-bit editions).
Limitations – XPlay is only free to try.

XPlay is a handy and easy to use that allows you to access a Windows or Mac-formatted iPod and copy music and photos off it. It also allows you to access an iPhone and copy music and photos off it. It also provides a nice alternative to iTunes by integrating with Windows Media Player.
